Monkey King, aka Sun Wukong, is the main character in the classical Chinese epic novel “Journey to the West”. He possesses an immense amount of strength, has superb speed and also knows 72 transformations, which allow him to transform into various animals and objects. Journey to the West is one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. It was written by Wu Cheng’en and published in the 1590s during the Ming Dynasty.
